I’m a public relations professional. A PR guy. I don’t like spin doctor because I don’t spin. I communicate.

I specialise in high profile corporate relations. I counsel senior leaders on complex issues when communicating to a broad range of people, from employees to families to investors to analysts to regulators. And how do make sure everyone understands and has their unique information needs met? It isn’t easy but it’s the combination of left brain creativity and right brain analysis that keeps me glued to the job.

I started at a global public relations agency in New York City right after university. Some 20 plus years later I’m in the same business, although I’ve moved continents four times. From North America to Australia to Asia to North America (again) and back to Australia. I have furniture that’s seen more travel than many people.

Today I consult senior leaders of Australian and global companies on the intricacies of getting your messages right - and delivered to target audiences. I am partner and founder of an independent public relations consultancy - Perception Counsel. It’s a great job and it’s not without its challenges - more on that in the blog!
